High-End Workshop on Hands-on-training using ‘Q-GIS’ and ‘R Programming’: An integrated approach towards understanding the changing dynamics in Water Resources
The event will be conducted as ‘Karyashala’ intended towards the ABHYAAS scheme of Accelerate Vigyan, SERB to support motivated PG and PhD level students at CWRDM, Kozhikode during September 15-28, 2022 (in physical mode). The aim of this High-End workshop is to disseminate the scientific knowledge on various techniques involved in visualizing, processing, analyzing, and mapping various spatial and non-spatial data pertaining to ‘Water Resources’ through hands-on training sessions on open source software's like ‘Q-GIS’ and ‘R-Programming’.Applicants should be pursuing PG/PhD in any discipline of Earth Sciences (including Geology, Geography, Geoinformatics, etc.), Hydrology, Agricultural, and Environmental Science/Engineering from a recognized University/Institution in India (recently completed PG scholars are also eligible to apply). Candidates who have completed PhD will not be considered.
