High-End Workshop on Space-based solution for Disaster Risk Reduction
CWRDM will be conducting the High-End Workshop on Spaced-Based Solution for Disaster Risk Reduction as ‘Karyashala’ under ABHYAAS scheme of Accelerate Vigyan, SERB (in physical mode) during November 14-26, 2022. The workshop is planned to disseminate the scientific knowledge of ‘Geospatial technologies’ towards understanding the risks associated with various ‘Natural Disasters’ and also in effective planning for Disaster Risk Reduction. In addition, the workshop targets on providing hands-on training using open source QGIS software for mapping, and a pilot study on the themes related to Flood Mapping, Landslide Vulnerability Assessment, Drought Analysis, Coastal Changes using the applications of Remote Sensing and GIS.
