OBJECTIVE

The “SAYONJIKA” is aimed at creating a common source information platform for the capacity building that is being developed in the scientific arena, through the funding support of various departments and ministries in the country.

ELIGIBILITY

The events supported by the national agencies (Central Government Ministries / Departments) are eligible under SAYONJIKA.

DURATION

The events of five or more days are only eligible. The aim is to consolidate only major training programs / schools / workshops for a meaningful database for the benefit of the stakeholders, including policy makers.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicant must apply online immediately after the receipt of approval / sanction letter of the Departments / Ministries / Statutory Bodies to Government of India to hold these workshops / training programs / winter & summer schools.

GUIDELINES

The event organizers are expected to submit the data and information about the event in the prescribed format within one month after the completion of the event.

Q1: Who can apply for the ‘Chronicle’ module?

Ans: All the scientific major workshops of duration 5 days or more, funded and supported by the central departments / ministries in the country are eligible to apply.

Q2: Central government of India supports my workshop however; it is a three-day event. Can I apply under this module?

Ans: No, workshops / training programs / winter & summer schools or such other events of five or more days are only eligible to apply under this module.

Q3: What do we achieve out of this branding and aggregation exercise?

Ans: This module will generate such common source of information for the benefit of students, teachers, science administrators, policy makers and all other stockholders, in respect of the entire ambit of capacity building in the country to promote science R&D. In the absence of such a common source of information, the efforts of capacity building of various departments / organizations often remain unnoticed.

Q4: Who are eligible to submit an application under SANYOJIKA program?

Ans: The training program events (workshops, seminars etc) of five or more days duration supported by the Scientific and Academic departments/ministries and their subordinate and attached offices (Central Government Ministries / Departments as well as others) are eligible to register with the SAYONJIKA program of Accelerate Vigyan scheme.

Q5. Are non-central govt. institutes eligible to submit their applications under the SANYOJIKA program and utilized the AV logo?

Ans: Yes, the events supported by the agencies other than (Central Government Ministries / Departments) are eligible under the SAYONJIKA program.

Q6. Can I utilize the logo of Accelerate Vigyan (AV) immediately after the submission of my application?

Ans: No, after getting the acceptance confirmation from SERB (the funding body for the scheme), the Event organizer will receive a high-resolution logo of AV from us, which need to be utilized in all the activities i.e. certificates, banners, brochure, souvenir, proceedings, kits, etc. for the scheduled workshop/training programs etc.

Q7. Will the applicants get any fund after approval of their applications?

Ans: No, as per Inter-ministerial Overseeing Committee (IMOC) guidelines it is mandatory for the event organizers (conveners/organizing secretaries) to get registered themselves through AV online portal and share/submit the outcomes (reports, photos/videos, database of participants and experts, etc.) of the organized event. The aggregation and consolidation of the database emerged out of these registrations with Sayonjika for capacity building in the country, will be made available in the public domain and utilised by all the stakeholders in the scientific community. It should be considered as scientific social responsibility.

Additional support of Rs. 25,000/- per program will be provided under this scheme for holding Workshop / training program / winter & summer schools only in India on subjects related to "Science and Technology" originally supported by other government of India departments and Ministries. This additional support is essentially to document the details of the beneficiaries of such program in a single window system.
