High-End Workshop on CHOOSING SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AS A CAREER - WHY AND HOW
CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is a new institute established as consequent merger of two prestigious institutes of CSIR namely, CSIR-NISCAIR and CSIR-NISTADS, which work at the interface of S&T and Society, Science Communication and Policy Research. NIScPR publishes 19 Scholarly journals and 3 popular science magazines. CSIR- NIScPR is also conducting academic courses and research program leading to Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Science & Technology Communication (Sciences) under the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR).
This High-End online workshop is aimed to encourage and inform master students especially M.Sc. second year students about importance of research for them and their role in nation building. Different days are designed as per the requirement of M. Sc. Students to provide maximum information about choosing research as postM.Sc. career. This program will teach them why and how to choose scientific research, Basic understanding of laboratory research, Research methodology, Effective ways of literature survey, Effective ways of research communication: both writing format and presentation style, Scientific social responsibility of Scientists, Need for scientist as science communicator and S&T Entrepreneurship opportunities.
