I am delighted to know that the Accelerate Vigyan online portal is being launched by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) to facilitate the young researchers from universities across the nation to leverage the expertise and research facilities of our premier science institutions.

A vibrant science and research sector is predicated on the spirit of collaboration among the institutions and scientific community. We have a network of world class research institutions in our country and our young researchers are exploring new contours of the discipline using those facilities. However, there used to be disconnect between these institutions and aspiring scholars in the Tier-II and Tier-III Universities. We are endeavouring to ensure that the promising students from all across the country will benefit from the advanced facilities and expertise available with our premier institutions.

I appreciate the efforts of SERB in conceptualizing the platform of Accelerate Vigyan online portal to strengthen the spirit of synergy and collaboration in our research institutions. I hope that the workshops and the Training and Skill Internship envisaged under this program will offer great opportunity for the research and student community across the nation to upgrade their skills and expertise in their domain.
